Topic: [Feature] Blacklist can filter results based on score

Posted under Site Bug Reports & Feature Requests

Requested feature overview description.
The blacklist can filter out submissions with scores lower (or higher, if you so choose for some reason) than a level which a user chooses. For instance, adding cat score:<0 to one's blacklist will allow it to filter out images of cats with negative scores.

Why would it be useful?
Recently, I've noticed that people have been uploading images of Katia Managan with very...unique tags which I will refrain from naming here, and which understandably have very low scores. Just seeing the thumbnails has impacted my browsing experience for the worse, and the offensive content of the images is so obscure that I doubt many could foresee the need to place the corresponding tags on their blacklist.
This feature would allow users to keep the art out of their results without having to learn that there is a tag for [REDACTED].
It would also be useful to filter images of very poor quality, or which manage to be offputting despite using individually inoffensive tags.

What part(s) of the site page(s) are affected?
The Blacklist feature

This is something that people have wanted basically since the blacklist was implemented.

Keep in mind forum #250280

I bet third-party site tools and viewers that retrieve score can also filter score.

Well, this doesn't help with posts with sub -40 score, which the Katia post in question does have(in fact it has a score below -100 now).
The fact that you just have to keep adding score:-X into the the hundreds is super obnoxious especially since there's a hard limit to how many characters you can have in your blacklist to even get to ~-100 is about 1000 our of the 3900 you get.

Most other sites like this one have a minimum score threshold that you just set and forget. So for instance if you set it to -5 you would never see a post witha a score under -5. If you set it to 10 you’d never see a post with a score less thab 10 etc. I’m actually surprised this site doesn’t have that same system in place...never knew it didn’t until now.

It does. Settings. The text box that says -5.

EDIT: Disregard. It's comments.

If you wanted to blacklisted everything below a -10, for example, just write score:<-10 on your blacklist.

that's a very recent addition, but yes, you can do that.
