Protips:
1. You can just use [[acara]] to link to acara.
2. species:acara is 100% the same thing as generic:acara, trying to type one when the other is active changes all existing acaras over. It's pointless then to constantly include species: on things.
3. The best way to handle multiple items is to not type in the others when you first make the thread. This allows the "link to implication" page to only show the reason, and not get all confusing.
4. A long list like that sorted into a single line gets a little mixed up. It's fine to have a lengthy list for something like this.

I had a Tatsu. Wow. I'd forgotten that.

forum #252992 talks a little more about this all, but the thing is msostly, there's an artist who goes by zafara, and more of the hip kids these days don't know that a zafara's a creature too.

I used to have an Ixi, and the "handheld" game egg (it'd barely fit in your pocket) with a Lupe and one more that I forget...

I wonder if Neopets will get more popular artistically when the mobile scrabble app is released.

I had a few others.... .... I couldn't get any of the merchandise though. I lived pretty out of the way (hawaii) and very few stores were brave enough to try and expand out there.

(I had, at my peak, 3 or 4 tomagotchis/gigapets though XD We had access to a lot of asian imports that the "mainland" US didn't. :) )

I had/have a Uni, a buzz who I think was the one I zapped with the.. uh... randomize... lab...thingy. Or maybe that was my checkered Pteri, I dunno.

I had a cloud Zafara though and she's beautiful.

They are also all named after my favorite songs when I was a teenager. Of course.

Mmmmm... it's possible! Probably a little, as long as it's a "nice" game and not... well, I remember the moment neopets lost it's magic for me -- When the game I was playing was basically "watch this ad and win!" ... I think they had to stop that later on, but... it was a bad moment. I hope the mobile game isn't like that! (I like scrabble XD)

I think neopets in general could take off again if they modernized the website: It looks pretty old these days... and the art could use a coat of polish too, it hasn't been updated since 2007 and I think that was widely considered to be a bad move (It... got rid of a lot of the old expressive artwork in favorite of models that were easy to put clothes onto. Yeah. :C)

I miss neopets. I miss what it was, and having the tiem and patience to play that sort of thing. Flight rising was fun, but an endless grind to no where. Lioden was fun, but needed lots and lots of attention. There's been a few others but... well, I don't think anything can quite recapture that magic.

I'd love to see more neopet artwork though.

Hmm... well, now that I"m thinking about it....

An acara is also a type of fish
Bori is the name of a cultural group of some people in india (and also the name of several towns etc..
elephante is Elephant with an e. Also appears to be a DJ
Eyrie is the word for a large nest belonging to an eagle or similar.
Gelert is actually a mythological creature -- a dog associated with a village in wales. THe dog was thought to have murdered a baby, and was killed by his owner, only for there to be a baby's cry. The crib is righted and the baby is found along with the body of a dead wolf. Interestingly, this is also basically what happens in Lady and the Tramp. :)
grundo is also aparently the land where Teddy Ruxpin takes place.
Hissi and Ixi are both one letter off of other words -- hiss and pixi
jubjub is a 'character' from the simpsons -- Selma's pet Iguana. As well, Lewis Carroll's Jaberwocky and "the hunting of the Snark" include mention of the Jubjub bird. This bird's also appeared in some Alice in Wonderland movies.
Kau ... well, I grew up with a girl who's last name was kau. *shrugs*
Kiko is a name, a type of goat
poogle is the 'name' of a poodle/beagle mix

I strongly prefer all neopet species have _(neopet) after the species name :P but that's my two cents.
