A lot. Like, you can make your own.

Uhm. Okay. You're on tumblr.

If you go to your delurc.tumblr.com page, in the upper right,m there ought to be a little artist pallet thing you can click to edit the appearance of your blog. A lil sidebar will pop up, and there's a browse themes option. There's a buncha premium themes, but "only" about 20 free themes, I think. though if they're different code-wise I dunno.

What *you* might want might be this, though: if you add /mobile to the end of a URL, you'll get a theme-free page. http://delurec.tumblr.com/mobile for example.

That said, i THINK you lose the ability to look for tagged posts then: like http://delurec.tumblr.com/tagged/art

that said, you can also do something like https://www.tumblr.com/dashboard/blog/delurec to get it popped up in a little side... bar.... thang and I think that might stripe (most of the) theme from it too.

hope this helps. Welcome to the wild and whacky world that is tumblr. I'm not tumblr-expert, but lemme know if I can help. Probably a few other tumblrweeds in here too who might be able to lend a paw

theres several of tumblr default themes and like millions of user-made themes.

Reason why I really hate tumblr is when artists take the most annoying theme they can find and then code the shit out of it with autoplaying music, custom cursors, massive floating background images, etc. Because you can pretty much make any kind of layout and insert any kind of website thing in.

Usually just navigating to blog.tumblr.com/archive solves the issue, however then we get to artists who also use tumblr as their shitposting or porn sharing platform on top of artwork posting and when posting artwork, they might bundle them into single blog post, meaning you can only see first artwork on every blog post.

Tumblr is bad. Luckily most artists have their sanity intact and won't do these things.

What I hate is when they make it so you can't actually see what tags are on their posts, as then you can't figure out which exact tag they use for certain subjects in their art unless you dig through millions of posts on the dashboard to try and find that one post and check the tags they used. Seriously, use a theme that actually shows tags!

Generally, if you click on the (44 notes) or whatever, you'll be taken to the posts's page and THEN you can see the tags...

what drives me crazy is when someone doens't tag consistently. every artist should have a #myart tag.

Better would be a personal tumblr and an art-only tumblr, but at LEAST use tags.

tags are so good. use them, folks.

There are many tumblr themes which hide this information even on submission page.

yuck.

Thankfully I spend most of my time browsing from the dashboard, but yuck.

though the WORST thing I've seen is a page that by default faded everything to grayscale AND semi-transparent so if you wanted to see a picture in color, you had to mouse over it.

Tumblr is the new Myspace, truly.

Honestly, I find it prefereable to myspace... but that is, partly, because I have been incredibly careful with who I follow and the moment someone's posts start making me unhappy or start being drama-filled, I unfollow. So my dashboard is basically a stream of pretty pictures, fun anecdotes, stories, neat facts, and stuff I care about, etc.

I keep my swimming pool clean, is what I'm saying. So for me, it's way better then myspace ever was ;)

If a blog is annoying to browse (autoplaying music, hidden tags, has the reblog button but no like button [surprisingly many blogs have this and I HATE it], unreadable tiny text and/or bad font, annoying custom cursors, doesn't show reblogs properly, etc) I just instantly block it cuz I'm a petty bitch.

no sounds nor "special" things, though, just unfinished crap

Would be great if I knew how to forge cookies for httprequest.
Could bypass login requirement then, I mean it works fine on webbrowser(since I'm logged in) but not when trying to just get html by request.
Things would be even faster then.

Actually, I think it just may be tumblr just being horrible.

Regarding autoplaying music, there is a Tumblr extension to mute the page. I'm currently looking to see if there's one to force a theme on blogs so that you can always view as you like, or more preferably, specify which urls get a forced theme so that you only need to get rid of the annoying ones.

Or any scriptblocker.

There's a bunch of themes here, (including the one I use) if you don't want to craft your own.
