Topic: Conditional DNP request

Posted under General

As someone who checks my artworks here from time to time, I get annoyed when my post(s) gets deleted and someone reuploads it with a better version, diminishing my upload limit.

So, is it okay if I make a DNP request where I should be the one who must upload the better version of my artworks whose sources are from Tumblr or Twitter?

That would not make any sense to enforce. If someone else posts the better version an image that then gets deleted for not meeting your DNP conditions, the image would meet an md5 collision by the site itself and refuse the upload should you, yourself, also try to post it. The result is two deleted posts: one for being an inferior copy of a later superior upload, and the superior upload for not meeting your conditions.

If you have the art itself, it would make sense to upload from your computer rather than from some site. If you are the artist, other than if you were trying to restrict something by size (and please never rely on sites to do this for you, like Tumblr) there is no reason not to do this from the start.

Oh okay, I see your point. I've been caught up by my own anxiety about the upload limit when I said that, that I have almost forgotten what I said on another thread that it's best to post my own artwork from my computer.
