Is it worth it to mark your Patron as adult and get all the freedoms

to come with it if it means you won't show up in serches?

Hey guys, Felt like I needed to make a
quick thread to organize my thoughts.
=‿=)

Alrighty, Taking the time to fix up my Patreon so that
it would be a lot more appealing, So that my focus is a lot more focused
than a l'cie's (FF13 is fun =‿=) and you actually get something for
your kindness. At the moment an early look at my doodles before

It's while setting up that the early access, About to post a nsfw doodle I
was working on that it dawned on me:

"Wasn't there a thing that happened to NSFW content
Creators on Patreon not too long ago?"

Remembering that I checked out the policy section and turns out
there is a thing for 'Adult Content Creators' on there. The Usual
if your work makes peeps go-

"Mmmm-Hmmm ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)"

then mark your page as "Adult."
But~ (And This 'but' is bigger than that one you were gonna show m8!)
if your page is adult than we're gonna cover you
like underwear on biz. ╹ ╹) (I won't show up on searches)

So, Is it worth it?

Would love to hear from another peep with a Patreon in the same spot,
Possibly censoring yourself for the sake of exposure or going full
lewd but being responsible for your own promotion without any help. ╹ ╹)
All feedback is very much appreciated though ◠‿◠)

Personal opinion:

Leaning more towards mature so the peeps who support me know exactly
what they're getting and so they get exactly what they expect, Ya know? ╹‿╹)
Though Patreon actively hiding me could stunt my growth more than it is
already. Still thinking

Wither Patreon made the choice for me or I did so long ago I forgot I
made the choice in the first place. The thing is set; I'm an NSFW user ╹‿╹)

Which is probably better anyway, No need to censor my work for the sake
of a few extra clicks =‿=)

From what I remember seeing, they only cut you off if you're drawing content along the lines of explicit-rape and bestiality.

(Seriously m8, Would have really sucked
for this to blindside me at some point)

Though a majority of my doodles show clear consent with the odd ones
out showing reluctance to the situation before complete consent, Relaxing
once they realize their not in harm's way and enjoying themselves.

The fact that more than 85% of my doodles are furry related in some way could Complicate things.
=‿=) While I'm in no way suggesting anthro stuff is equal to bestiality,
You gotta say from the outside looking in it's a rather grey area. T‿T)

Though after doing some basic research, I 'think' I might be fine for the time being and that
I don't have to stress out about this too much right now dood ╹ ‿╹;)

With all four of them making content in the same field faaar~ lewder than I've
made at the moment with only 1 of the 4 under review; Odds of me getting marked
seem low but they ARE there.

Even so, I shouldn't be so dismissive and should be prepared for such a thing.
My first step should be getting in touch with a Patreon worker to discuss the finer
details of this rule to see where furry content lies.
Without bringing up any names, of course. =‿=)
No need to make things even more complicated, Ya know?
Just gonna talk about furries and policies, Nothing more, Nothing less ╹‿╹)

Addendum:
I'll see about getting in touch with kihublue too and seeing why
his Patreon is under review while I'm at it. The info could really
come in handy if when I (possibly) end up in the same spot ╹‿╹)

Update

had a quick chat with Kihublue and turns out his account is under
review due to some NSFW images Patreon noticed in his public
feed before he did and had a chance to censor it himself. ╹ ╹)
(They're pretty strict about this rules from the looks of it = =)

And Hadn't gotten word back from Patreon yet but, The way
things are looking now they might just allow my page to stay;
NSFW and all. =‿=;)

Though the thread @MagnusEffect sent me
(Thanks again btw ╹‿╹) Still has me on guard. I‿I;)
Just hope Patreon mellowed out since then and doesn't
'Really' look into the name "Notkastar". =‿=;)

You can also get in trouble if you're commiting crimes of some sort. Patreon doesn't want to associate with criminals, and has cut themselves off from people for things like revealing another user's address, even if the event occurs outside Patreon itself.

I don't know when you started your Patreon, but you have 0 patrons right now. Is it a real loss if Patreon shuts it down?

They probably don't notice or care about NSFW unless it's a popular Patreon with a lot of losers reporting it. By bringing the issue to Patreon's attention as you seem to have done, you clarify nothing and only potentially hurt yourself.

The only way to resist monetary blockades by advertisers, normies, and traditional gatekeepers in the long run may be to use a cryptocurrency-based service that is decentralized by design. So when peeps screech about rape, bestiality, lolis, scat, or whatever, there is no route to censorship.
