Mostly asking because a case came to my knowledge where someone made an unauthorized edit of an artist's picture, but while Derpibooru (where it was also posted) took it down, this site didn't. So, I'm curious what it actually takes for an image to be removed.

It takes it either being a crappy edit, or for the artist to request a takedown. Artists can even request CDNP against edits of their images, in which case any future edits will be taken down immediately, but unless they do so, they're allowed on for the time.

From what I know, though, the artist did request a takedown, but nothing came of it.

There have been no takedowns requested for that image, nor has the artist ever filed one in general.

Odd. I'll let her know. Maybe she did something wrong while trying.

EDIT: She says they probably didn't think she was the artist of the picture. I told her to try it again.
