Aliasing leaves → leaf

...or the other way around if so preferred. Unless we want to distinguish images/animations with many leaves (e.g., fall scenery) from those with just one leaf, I don't see the point in having both tags.

While both tags admittedly aren't that useful, part of me wants to say keep them separate.
Leaf can be used as a loincloth post #402112, hat post #40155, or leaf_umbrella post #98627, while leaves is just used for outside scenery post #260179. Both of them are also used for tagging body parts of flora_fauna, but I don't see how that is any more useful than tagging tail...

I think they're different enough to keep as separate tags.

I see the use of keeping leaf and leaves separate too, but it looks like we have a history of aliasing plural and singular nouns in similar cases such as flowers -> flower. And there will probably continue to be frequent mistagging of leaf in posts with many leaves anyway.

fig_leaf, leaf_on_head, leaf_umbrella. If necessary, leaf_clothing could work too.

Fair enough. I guess they can be aliased.

I'm going to add any picture I can find with leaf censorship to fig_leaf now. If anyone wants that tag to be literally for leaves from fig plants, I'll change it later.

You mean implied, right? Alias means you delete the current tag to replace it entirely with the new one.

Bumping, was just about to suggest this myself. Leaf and Leaves both have over 2,000 posts; I think an alias of leaves to leaf would be appropriate.
