Topic: [Feature] order:pool

Posted under Site Bug Reports & Feature Requests

Requested feature overview description. The order:pool search option, which would order search results by their order in the searched-for pool and do nothing if no pool was searched for. Patterned after order:set.

Why would it be useful? The pool view page is missing a lot of features compared to the search page -- for instance, filtering (beyond blacklisting) and add/remove favorite mode.

What part(s) of the site page(s) are affected? The search system. Also, perhaps, the pool view page could have a link to search the pool. (If that's done, the set view page should have it too, but it's minor and probably not worth its own feature request.)

The link feels silly, considering it wold just display the pool's pages, whick there already is a feature for.

Why not just go to the pool's page, where the exact same thing happens?

OP outlined why the pool page is insufficient. Although I don't necessarily agree with the proposed solution, the case that there is a problem has been made fairly clearly.

+1, although order:set could be repurposed to also work for pools. I'd even go so far as to suggest making that the default display order for pool searches, but I understand that could mess up some people's routines for checking updates. (Appending order:-id would be a quick fix then, of course).
