If it looks strapped on, it's a sex toy, if it looks like it's just built into their body, it's a penis.

A question for the ages.
Dunno, dildo sort of implies just a fake dick, without a body nor motion. So I guess robodick is neither a penis nor a dildo, but a tool.
Seriously tho, what Furrin Gok said.

Because we are on e621, what about the dildo-creatures, e.g. sentient dildos?

If the dildo creature has a penis though, even if the penis looks like a dildo that's just a natural part of the creature's body, that's a penis.

Wouldn't it be a lever or a plug-in https://youtu.be/XEpo5EYwhwg

According to Monster Mind it's a button or lever. Different artists can portray the mechanical genders in different ways--Though I don't believe an outlet, plug, lever, or button can count as penis or vagina.

Technically it is both. Dildo is not a fake penis it's _any_ device that fills the role of male genitalia (hence the term - teledildonics, autodildonics - latter is nothing related to sex machines but to truck genitalia :P). Steam-powered dildo was one of first fuck machines ever invented, meant to fight the mythic "female histeria". Being considered part of robot while that robot's structure is similar to living creature, it is also a penis as a part of it.
To avoid confusion, I guess it should be tagged as latter, with appropriate tags for robotic character.
