Topic: A Tag for longer less gif like source filmmaker viedos.

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

What i mean is why not have a tag for the longer, less of a 3 or 15 seconds repeating gif animations? its so hard to find decent ones that go for more than a few seconds aren't repeated even 2 seconds and maybe even end in a climax. Thoughts?

Loop and long_playtime are severely undertagged sadly, I do try to tag them myself every time I edit post tags. I haven't heard of ETA for playtime metadata value other than it should be coming.

No_sound should be in all posts if you mean the "gif like" as in no sound, usually the ones ending in climax should be tagged with orgasm and miss loop.

Along with long_playtime, there's also a <30_second_webm tag for short 'webm' posts, but I haven't seen any equivalent for short 'gif' posts.

I've wondered occasionally why that tag is limited to webm. File types are searchable, so why not just make it <30_seconds and apply it to all animation types?

Yeah, I personally think the tag for <30_second_webm should be replaced with short_playtime, especially since >30_second_webm is already aliased to long_playtime.

Because the origin of that tag is one user tagging posts with <30_second_webm and >30_second_webm, then others following and starting to use the tag as well, other one was aliased away already like said, but other one wasn't.

Oh my lord, how is it that this alias has yet to be approved for almost 2 years!?

Edit: Oh dammit, I just realized that was the alias for long_playtime and not for short_playtime. Disregard and carry on...

Well there's no real reason you can't remove the "webm" part at the end and use it for all animated files, I just tagged Webms because the file itself told you how long the play time is
