Not entirely sure. Could wind up being used on things that have some shark traits but don't look actually shark enough to be considered a hybrid. How do we plan to use the shark_puppy tag?

Considering that most fictional hybrids were aliased to hybrid a while back.. No, not self-explanatory at all.
What makes this one special enough to be kept?

There are no puppy traits about shark puppy except in his fourleggedness and some behavioral traits. Tagging him as hybrid would be really inappropriate.
I was going to make an arguement for it being a character tag instead... however, there is indication that there are multiple shark puppies, not a singular: post #1339340 post #1090311 and one sharkpuppy seems to be Vress_(character) by vress_(artist)... while the other is shark_puppy_(character) by stacey-lenaghan
That said, Vress's patreon page speciffically says that "we are the vress team" and says that "THIS is a vress" and points at a shark puppy thing, so I guess it's... correct. Vress seems to be both artist, character name and species name. Geeze.
*scratches chin*
I don't know.
I don't know that a implication should be done thought--I could see drawing sharkpuppy as a non-shark species.
... but then it should be a the vress character as a non-shark puppy species?? so.. naybe the implication is fine??
I don't know.
I think Shark puppy as a species is distinctive enough though, especially since we don't have a tag for things like quadropedal birds, or fish with legs. (besides quadroped, of course)

The wiki entry for shark_puppy is atrocious. It's there to describe/explain the tag, not be unnecessarily facetious.

Fixed it based on what SnowWolf said it's defined as.
