Implicating "honest"_john_foulfellow → pinocchio
Link to implication

Reason:

Anthro fox character from the animated film. He is based on the Fox from the original story.

Related suggestions:

figaro I-> pinocchio – Same as above. Removing this suggestion because the character appears in more than just the film he debuted in.

EDIT: The tag implication "honest"_john_foulfellow -> pinocchio (forum #261232) has been rejected by @NotMeNotYou.

I don't like those quotes, so I'm definitely in support of aliasing the quoteless version.

Are all the above mentioned characters part of the original story or just the Disney adaptation? I've seen the Disney version but not any of the earlier ones so I don't know.

This actually is related to the reason why I did not suggest for this copyright to be implicated to disney. I figure that, since the original story is in the public domain, if someone were to post something that features Pinocchio or another character from the story and it's not to the Disney version whatsoever, there would be tagging issues if a pinocchio -> disney implication exists. (Yes, I am aware that the wiki page for Pinocchio is currently based on the Disney version, but still.)

As for the characters, Figaro was an original creation for the film (although since he also appears in other Disney shorts as Minnie Mouse's pet—Walt loved the cat—I should probably change that suggestion Edit: And... done.), Jiminy Cricket is based on the original story's Talking Cricket, the Blue Fairy is based on The Fairy with Turquoise Hair, and Honest John and Gideon are respectively based on The Fox and the Cat. But since they're Disney creations that are (except for Figaro) based on the original story's characters, they are Disney characters, not Carlo Collodi's.

To be honest, it would probably be best to reverse this alias. A nickname needn't be in quotes, and [Edit~ the quotes] look terribly out of place in e621's tagging.

Against, for the same reason as Figaro was removed from the list. Although first seen in the Pinocchio movie, he's featured in a lot of Disney productions since then which had nothing to do with Pinocchio. It's best to just have him imply disney instead.

Or perhaps alias both to john_foulfellow.
