I found an amazing piece of art [https://e621.net/post/show/1763470/3d_-artwork-animated-digital_media_-artwork-dr_who] which I thought was a bit too short for my enjoyment. I'm editing a four-fiveish minute version of it.

My question is, would it make any sense posting it here? Since we already have the short, but fappable version, would it be worth my while to post it here?

I think it would qualify. I've seen extended versions of animations which are essentially the same content before and they manage to be uploaded without any takedowns. If you wanted to make it something more worthwhile though, I'd suggest adding some sound to it, if that falls within your skillset. Incidentally, I believed the same thing about this particular work and also edited my own version so that it was a bit quicker. I do this for some animations that I find lack something I would like to see implemented, such as sound design too. Although, I don't upload files here, as I don't personally wish to impose on another artists work. I basically just keep those kinds of things for myself. But if you wanted to do something similar and share it, it would be a worthwhile experiment.

I completed the thing, but since editing the video to make it longer is simple enough, those who want a longer version can just create one themselves. I'll just add the video to my private collection after scripting it ;]

Besides, it's relatively low-effort. If I would invest more time into it then maybe it would be worth posting.
