As RenaTamer announced in this post, after seeing his mother die to cancer a few years back, and finding his brother's body due to overdrinking more recently, he's decided to make his artwork Fair Use, as he wants to make sure his art stays around after he is gone. Not that he is suicidal, he's just not in the greatest of health.

If you don't know who RenaTamer is, he has a handful of works here in e621, and has written what is arguably the best Renamon fanfic on the net today.

I will have to explain to RenaTamer how to properly release work to the public domain. "All my work is fair use" makes no sense and it would be nice to remove all the legal technicalities from this situation.

Or under a very permissive license, like CC0 (some jurisdictions don't allow copyrights to be disclaimed, and only allow works into the public domain after the copyrights expire, so instead the works have to a license that allows people to do as much as possible with it).
