Topic: Swizzlestix gone

Posted under Art Talk

Surprisingly no one is talking about this, but Swizz has decided to nuke his e6. With his Inkbunny deactivated and FA not allowing cub content a lot of his work is gone. No mention on his Twitter either. Does anyone else out there know why he may have done this? Very sad to have seen this happen.

Honestly with the recent Swizz and keadonger incidents it makes me feel like there should seriously be a furry archive for art uploaded to websites like IB, FA and e6. I respect the artists' decision to not want to be part of the fandom or regret things but to delete your entire furry archive with little to no notice just seems like a shitty thing to do. Unless you're trying to work for Disney or something there's not even major pressing reasons for you to do so. Maybe I'm just ranting. Makes a much bigger difference when an artist you actually like does it. The worst part is you can never know when it will happen or who will do it next.

Ahem, so as it turns out there are other furry boorus with his artowork still and others who have left the fandom, further proving what I said about nothing on the internet being lost forever. I am happy now. Still don't why Swizz left if anyone cares to explain that.

That is an incredibly selfish stance. The only "acceptable" reason being trying to work for Disney? You mean people should just make themselves targets for blackmail? I've had more than a few takedown requests where people on the internet doxxed an artist, then threatened to blackmail them to their current employer, family, or similar. And if people want to escape that having a "furry art archive" that is public and ignores those reasons just means it's entirely unmitigatable if something like that happens.

There's also just the entirely normal reason that an artist no longer wants to share their things. And telling them they shouldn't be allowed to do that is no less insulting.

It's his art, he's allowed to do whatever he pleases with it.
