Looks morbidly obese to me, but... I guess he's morbidly obese all over. Is that what you're going for? He's definitely not just belly.

actually it depends entirely on where the fat is located. if its mostly below abs and around intestines, belly will be spherical, like here

if its above abs, it will be floppy and softer, like here

most of fat getting stored under abs is common on men, so its not incorrect to draw overweight male character with round belly

Well, one is "beer belly" other one is "fat belly".

beer belly is still a result of excess fat building up in body, and fat person is fat even if the belly fat is built up below abs
