Exactly what it says on the tin, really. Whenever you click on a picture, if it has a description saved, that description is open and visible by default. I'd like to know if there's a setting I can change so that the description is hidden by default, and I only see it if I personally choose to click the little arrow button to make it show.

Yes, there is a setting option to change that. Go to your settings and check the "collapse descriptions by default" box, and then save your settings.
