The phone-tags (haha) are pretty messy..

holding_phone -cellphone could do with some cleanup. a lot of these phones are cellphones. There are only like 600 posts there...
selfie has 3500 pictures while holding_phone has 1400
mirror selfie -mirror_selfie has 200-300 posts.

I also wonder if we should have a different tag for the different "phone positions" like....

just holding a phone:

talking on the phone:

Taking a picture - covered a LITTLE by selfie and mirror_selfie... and maybe photographer but that only has 327 pictures :p
but, like... these seem like they should be different:

....I also wonder if instead of clarifying cellphone, we have a specific tag for the old-fashioned sort of phones..

9315 for phone
4913 for cellphone
1369 for holding_phone
329 for smartphone
150 for holding_cellphone

26 for phone_call
25 for on_phone
17 for "camera_phone" which is... yeah.
11 for looking_at_phone
5 for rotary_phone

yeah.

yeah.

perhaps (starting with older phones):
1) rotary_phone
2) landline_phone: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Landline
landline tag already exists, but is now empty. But maybe tag of landline_phone would be better for those who might misunderstand plain landline tag? (and for those searching for *phone* tags)

In terms of cellphones,
I'm not sure how to tell if some artwork is depicting a smartphone or old cellphone (retronym name of feature_phone )

(i assumed old cellphones were more limited, but according to wikipedia in addition to phone calls they could also do a "variety of other services, such as text messaging, MMS, email, Internet access, short-range wireless communications (infrared, Bluetooth), business applications, video games, and digital photography"

I mean, I would have said all the phones at
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Mobile_phone_evolution.jpg
were feature_phones,
but apparently phone at right-edge is a smartphone (a HTC Typhoon ).

By the way, pda tag is a mix of "public display of affection" and "personal digital assistant". (neither seems to have its own tag)
