Aliasing 21:9 → 7:3
Link to alias

Reason:

Both aspect ratios are the same.

Seeing that made me panic a little, I thought my bot must be mis-tagging with them being odd resolutions, but thankfully no, those tags were tagged by someone else and my bot's still a good bot :)

I tested my bot a hell of a lot, to make sure it avoided overlapping ratios like that, hence why I was so surprised.

+1 though, I think most of the ratios that could be aliased like this should be.

And I'll add something to my bot to search for mis-tagged things like 2:2, as it won't be hard, and there's bound to be a lot of ratios like that.

Same ratio, but this seems to be commonly called 21:9 rather than 7:3. See wikipedia, for instance. Probably because that's easier to compare with 16:9. So maybe alias it the other way around instead?

I agree with that.

21:9 is just 7:3 multiplied by 3 .

I wonder why this was rejected when they're simplified ratios. I mean, is the 6:4 aspect ratio different from 3:2, when they're the same ratio?

Edit: TIL there's an aspect ratio of 21:9, but not 7:3. Never min. Still weird though...

Also, the Wikipedia page made me binge on the several types of aspect ratios.
