Note the dead (lightless) enlarged eyes, the at times overly thick lines, and the overall lack of polish compared to the actual Pokehidden.

Couple that with the fact that Pokehidden left specifically because he hated this kind of style, and you have a clear cut emulator, one that's using his name for both an easy attention grabber and rise to popularity.

One if I'm recalling correctly Pokehidden is gone now. Retired as an artist. It's been a while since I spoke about this topic so I might be wrong:

two. And my main point, if I'm recalling correctly (again) Pokehidden did say he MIGHT come back one day but he also stated he would NOT come back under the same name. So it -could- be him.

Now you are correct that he left because he didn't like his own art style. So it probably is not him, but he did say he won't come back under the same name so.

He said he'd come back under a new name, and a new style to further himself from the old, not to do the exact same crap, but at an even lower level of quality.

Plus, as flimsy of an argument as it sounds, I know the guy, like stay in regular contact with em, and pokefound isn't him.

that reminds me of arkaid and his former artist name Edis Krad. and i just realised something. take out the E and S and add an A and you have the name with the letters merely rearranged.

I fail to see how removing LENS FLAIRS LULZ makes art "Worse." There's less life to the eyes without the glare circles, yes, but it's enough to be a "different style."

Popularity you're sort of giving them by announcing this. Actually, being able to emulate a popular style is enough of an attention grabber itself, maybe they originally simply emulated the style (or coincidentally naturally did that) under anonymous, and took on the name when they were compared.

My point was that you don't leave because you're unhappy with your art as a whole, then return to do the exact same thing, but with lower quality and removed elements that were beneficial to the art prior. Unless, like it is in this case, it's not the original artist.

Between the commissions they've now opened up, the people they've talked into posting their art here, and derpibooru advertising em, this thread's just piss in the ocean. Regardless, they're purposely taking advantage of a previous artist's reputation and lingering popularity to draw in his residual fans, which I would hope I'm not alone in thinking is a touch messed up.
