What do we call punctuation in a speech_bubble ? (a subset of emoticon ???)
Some "!" and "?" in speech_bubbles are getting tagged with pictographics tag.
What is the appropriate tag for a speech_bubble (or thought_bubble) that is empty except for punctuation ??
e621's wiki for pictographics says:
Speech consisting entirely, or at least primarily, of pictures in speech bubbles.
Wikipedia's Pictogram article says:
A pictogram, also called a ... pictograph, ... is an ideogram that conveys its meaning through its pictorial resemblance to a physical object
I don't think punctuation such as "!" and "?" represent physical objects.
Examples of "!" in speech_bubble:

Examples of "?" in bubbles:
post #1759659 post #1754195 post #1542500 , etc.

I'd have to agree with you that the eroteme and bang (yes, I'm showing off there) don't qualify as pictographs. Nor would emoticon fit since those are basically little pictures made with punctuation marks, sort of a middle ground between punctuation mark and pictographics.
If anything, they'd be better off under an umbrella textless_punctuation, textless_typography, or textless_punctutation_mark tag, which would only apply when a punctuation mark appears by itself, as in the examplea you site. Appearing with other punctuation marks is acceptable for the tag. Besides the eroteme ? and bang !, the tag ought to include the ellipsis ... and possibly the asterisk *, the interrobang ‽, the hyphen - and dashes – —, the tilde ~, and likely others. Heck, the moderators could probably just look at their keyboard and have plenty of examples for aliases, because you know some artist out there is going to get cute and use some of the lesser-used ones.

There's already the !, ?, and ?! tags. You could probably just use them instead of pictographics.
