Aliasing disembodied_feet → disembodied_foot
Link to alias

Reason:

At the time of this post
1) 34 uploads tagged with disembodied_foot
and
2) 10 uploads tagged with disembodied_feet

Think it should be singular (foot).
The four most used disembodied tags are all singular (and each have a e621 wiki page)

1) (15264 uploads) disembodied_penis
2) (5672 uploads) disembodied_hand
3) (153 uploads) disembodied_head
and 4) (41 uploads) disembodied_leg

+1. That is a really well organized and solid explanation.

Just thought this myself. The ratio is now 52:33 foot-feet, and the pluralization still doesn't make sense.
I would manually change feet -> foot but disembodied_feet has a wiki page (which I'm assuming makes it more official??)

+1 makes sense.
edit: 1 year old still not approved? get this up to the front so the mods see it

It being on the front page does not prioritize it. Just wait, it will be done eventually; time is ultimately the deciding factor.

Interestingly, the body of disembodied_feet wiki says:
"Used for when the foot is not attached to a body."

So the description is singular. (ie. "foot")

Hey, part of the reason of me suggesting the alias is that a character can have only one foot being in disembodied status ... so I would be sad if that image then got tagged with plural disembodied_feet .

(while if i look at an image with more than one disembodied foot,
I think ... "yes, there is a disembodied foot in the image")

There, I've moved over the wiki entry.

I've also realized that floating feet needs to be aliased to floating foot as well.

First off...I see wayyyy more instances of disembodied FEET (plural) rather than a disembodied foot.

Secondly...what is the criteria for something being "disembodied" because I have a HUUUUGE issue with most of these posts that are tagged "disembodied"...because to me that means they are basically floating in space, either cut off or fading out like so:

Many MANY of the images, however, are not what I'd consider to be "disembodied"...rather the rest of the leg/character is simply out of frame:

To me these are not disembodied and should have a different tag assigned to them.

Irrelevant. We try to use singular where it makes sense for there to be a singular one.

Those are still disembodied. If they don't seem to have a body, or if it looks like the body is offscreen, it's disembodied. It even says so right in the wiki.
