Topic: [Bug] Missing Post Ids

Posted under Site Bug Reports & Feature Requests

Bug overview description.
There are a group of post ids around 2052763 through 2052795 which have no posts nor do they show up in any of the moderation logs. https://e621.net/post/2052777 was a safe rated picture from Dongkoy of a basic furry but it now returns a 404.

What part(s) of the site page(s) are affected?
Content posts. Site moderation log.

What is the expected behavior?
The posts should exist or be under one of the deleted logs.

What actual behavior is given instead?
They can't be found.

Time of incident (if applicable).
Post 2052777 existed at Nov 13th 2019, 5:42am EST

Can you reproduce the bug every time?
Yes

What steps did you take to replicate this bug?
Attempted to access their pages through HTML and through json api. Searched through the moderator logs for their ids.

Errors or other messages returned (if any).
404 when accessing the posts. No errors when accessing the logs.

Why it matters.
For those of us who create or use tools to download content, it's important to be able to follow the deletions so we don't end up with illegal content. If posts are being deleted and aren't showing up in the logs then some users may be left at risk.

Preferred Resolution.
Posts are unhidden or are listed in some user accessible site log.

you're doing the URL wrong, there is no bug.
https://e621.net/post/show/2052777
notice how your URL doesn't have /show/

There are IDs that will return no information due to being completely destroyed, bot those returning no information is because said info is no longer existing in the files of e6, usually for legal reasons. If some of this content that was destroyed did find it self downloaded by you, it would of only been while it was active. And posts where it is illegal content is usually destroyed in such a short time frame you shouldn't have it in your system.

2052763

& 2052795 do seem to be of these examples of a destroyed post.

Okay, so I'm partially an idiot. But why isn't 2052795 in the Mod Actions' list of destroyed posts? The last destroyed post was a month ago. The log shouldn't take that long to be updated. 2052795 would have been created and deleted yesterday.

Possibly was a nuke, which can happen for illegal content, which goes beyond just breaking the rules.
