Topic: Find artists already searched.

Posted under Site Bug Reports & Feature Requests

A good addition, as the previous version had, would be to easily find names of artists that the user has already searched, such as a "history" or "favorite artists" thing. This way, the already sought-after artists or the most recurrent of the same user are not lost among the large number of artists on the site, and it is a good way to return to those same artists to check up their new posted pieces.
For example, before updating the site, I used to write any letter or number in the search engine and below all the artists appeared starting with the same acronym. Now, however, I have to memorize the names of the artists I had already searched for and I cannot return to my favorites or recurring so easily.

Therefore, I think leaving the seach bar the same way it was before or adding a "history" or "favourite artists" option would be nice to go back to them and/or find them easily.

While I definitely agree that the caching of recently used search terms is important and should if possible return, you can in the meantime put search links in your profile (or use RSS to subscribe to all the artists you like, though that's a slightly different slant on the problem)

+1 on caching like before, -1 on a dedicated 'favorite artists' feature (I think that would probably be of pretty marginal use, honestly)

Can i save artists to a list or something its a real hassle trying to find them again

There is always your respective browser's bookmarks feature. Yes, there should be something like this on e6, but just know that your browser's bookmark feature can solve your problem.

Yes, but unfortunately the new search method removed the whole bookmark feature, so the names that used to appear when you typed any letter won't apprear anymore.

Makes sense! Maybe not a "favourite artists" but i really want to go back to the artists i used to search or check up on daily.

That is .. not the bookmark feature. It's history tracking for fields.
