And why does every post asking about this get locked without an answer, including the admin reply here: https://e621.net/forum_topics/25814 which doesn't address the reason?

This whole situation is a little odd. NMNY indeed didn't explain the reasoning, just that it's here to stay. I don't think this is that big a deal because it is indeed easy to make an account (even with a temporary email address so that nothing is linked to you) but I don't understand why you can't turn it off as an anon. Would be nice to get some actual clarification on this from a higher-up instead of people jumping onto sides and assuming what the admins' reasoning is (to clarify, I'm seeing both people for and against this change doing this). If you're going to willingly take away features, at least give some good reasoning for it, you know?
It's not like there's some kind of conspiracy or anything it's just some kinda legal CYOA. They've probably either already stated their reasons and you didn't see it because 400 copies of this thread got made and buried it, or they will lay it out in the blog post about rule changes promised in the announcement.
I have searched and haven't found any good response yet, please do point me in the right direction if I missed it . I think about 6 threads or so have been made on the subject and I'm not finding anything in those.
That aside, I'm also thinking it's something to do with "blablabla legal reasons" but again, I personally just want an official statement and don't understand the thread locking.
I posted an explanation here.
I've locked all the other threads because one thread per topic is enough, and while I wanted to reply earlier I simply haven't had the time to write down the why as it's a bigger issue than what would fit into a 3 minute post.
