Hmm. New realization, the copyright tag that exists is "Chocobo Fables," but that's actually a very specific game in the series, not the series itself. That should probably get aliased.

Did some searching around, and there are more, they just haven't been tagged. Volg_(chocobo) should imply the series as well, while chocobo_series should imply final_fantasy.

And the character tag is Boko, not chocobo_(chocobo).

Boko is a reoccuring character in Final Fantasy, but I have never seen the Chocobo series chocobo named Boko.
I can accept the series tag as being final_fantasy_fables, but not calling a character who's official name is 'Chocobo' anything else.

I've never heard of a chocobo named just plain old Chocobo, but I've heard stranger things. Care to share some sources on that?

He's names Boco in Chocobo's Crystal Tower, which is a Chocobo Series game.
Boco is considered an alternate spelling of Boko.

I'm aware of the Boko/Boco transition, but that he was given a name other than Chocobo in one of the games is news to me.

...Speaking of, I took a look at Chocobo's Crystal Tower, and while it is a Chocobo game (therefore granting it the right to be a part of the series), the player controls their own individual chocobos and interact with each other. Boco is mentioned, but likely this is the Boco from the main line of Final Fantasy games, who is represented as a courageous chocobo. There is no mention of Volg, meaning this is likely before all of that happens.

There is an important difference to note between Chocobo and Boko: Chocobo is a small chubby chocobo with puffy feather-"locks." Boko is a taller, lanky chocobo with long, thin feathery locks.

PS: Ran a quick search on Boko, only post #83252 has one that fits the description.

And you were able to name him yourself in one of the earlier Fables, where his default (suggested) name was Boco.

But yeah, Square has been using the same name for various characters in the FF franchise. It's kinda like Cid in that regard.
