So, I tried uploading a picture of my character on here and I did look into how to do it, but none of the three options I tried worked at all. I know I've seen the characters section of tags on the side of an image and I'm just trying to get his name in that spot instead of the general tags

Fixed it for you.
If it's a tag you're creating, you have to prefix it with character:
If it's an existing tag, you have to go to its tag listing and edit the tag.

That's the issue. I prefixed it with that and it never worked. It would get rid of the prefix and just shove the name back into the general list. Thanks a ton for fixing it, though!

If you tried that after it had already been a general tag, it blocked the prefix because the tag already existed.

Additionally the new site has the option to change tag types also on wiki, so you can simply press ? to access the tags wiki and change it there as well.
