Topic: Privacy Policy elaboration?

Posted under Site Bug Reports & Feature Requests

Forgive me if this topic has been covered before, I searched the forums and couldn't find too much about it.

Are there any plans to expand upon the privacy policy to bring it in line with the kind of info given by other image sites like FA and IB? Typically they go into things like what data is collected or tracked, what analytics system is used, whether analytics and raw server logs can identify someone or are anonymized/deleted after a period, etc.

Now that more people are feeling as though they need to make accounts, this sort of info might put more at ease about it.

The only people who feel the need to make accounts are those that want to see the blacklisted tag. Only the one, right? Are there really that many of those types of people? Isn't there a reason it's blacklisted in the first place?

Maybe they will collect the info on new accounts and speed up the process. Perhaps the policy is vague on purpose. Or do you think they're just lazy? An oversight? I'm sure it's just my wild imagination.

Don't worry.

I don't think they're lazy at all, they clearly have big workloads and are volunteers to boot. They do great work.

I was jut pointing out that the page looks quite outdated, probably just due to how long the site has been around, and could use some additional info to bring it up to speed with other furry sites. How data is handled is important to a lot of people these days.
