Topic: [APPROVED] Tag implication: patreon_logo -> patreon

Posted under General

The tag implication #32086 patreon_logo -> patreon has been approved.

Reason: The Patreon logo was created by Patreon, so it'd only make sense, just as things created by other well-known entities have copyright tags implied from them (eevee -> pokémon, renamon -> digimon, ...).

EDIT: The tag implication patreon_logo -> patreon (forum #291468) has been approved by @Rainbow_Dash.

After patreon updated their branding, the logo did become much less significant part of the site, so implication is definitely good thing.
https://www.patreon.com/brand

patreon username seems to imply images where there's username next to patreon logo or watermark, similar to something like twitter handle, but is there tag for this kind of stuff? There is URL but even though it lists where not to use it, there's no tag for what to use instead.

patreon censored = patreon logo + censored/creative censorship, unnecessary tag as it's combination of two.

patreon ad not sure why to seperate advertisement specifically for patreon content when we already have several patreon tags to combine with it.

patreon reward seems to rely on external source descriptions, so they should be using description field instead and I could see this being used accidentally in future.

There isn't a tag for other such things.

Is there any reason patreon_logo isn't aliased to patreon entirely? I don't think other similar entities (Discord, YouTube, Twitter, etc.) have anything similar.

Patreon has several different logos. Perhaps it's because there's more than one? One of them is the common orange "P", the other looks more like "PATREON |" usually with more spaced text. At the point of there being multiple logos, patreon_logo denotes a Patreon logo rather than the Patreon logo, because it could mean either "PATREON |" or the orange "P." Patreon logos are also unique in that they're commonly used as censors, so they could be considered a sort of object-like thing as opposed to, say, the Twitter logo, which doesn't have the unique property of being commonly used as a censor (example: post #1213093).
