I am unable to upload animations or .webm videos with over 50MB in size here as I would get an error 413 Request Entity Too Large.

I'm guessing the server doesn't allow uploads exceeding 50MB, is there a way I can overcome this problem & should I suggest an increase in file size limit?

I'll be honest, I don't have much experience with putting animated files online, but 50MB sounds pretty large. I would thing that you should try to compress your animation a bit more, but that might just be me.

EDIT: By the way, the easiest way to lower file size in any kind of visual media is to lower the physical size. A 500x500 pixel flash movie is about 1/4 the physical size of a 1000x1000 px flash movie, and you'd probably get the same about the same reduction in file size.

We discussed it and once we make some changes, we'll probably end up raising the limit for webm videos (and maybe flashes? maybe) to 300MB or so.
