Topic: Removing deleted image tags

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

Often, when I attempt to sift through tags to find new ones or to fix some that weren't worded well enough to have them caught by an alias, I end up finding a slew of tags that have one post, but no images available when searched. I could probably compile a list, but it would be thousands of tags long. I've gathered that it is an issue that happens when a post is deleted, because they remain in the system, but are unavailable.

Is there a way for a moderator to go into these deleted images and remove these one-result tags so they correctly move into the "Empty tags" category in the tag list? If not, would it be possible to automatically purge all of the tags, or at least general tags, on any image that is deleted to prevent this from happening?

I understand where you're coming from, as I use to edit the deleted post tags as well when needed.
(Maybe re-word the forum title to something to do with editing deleted post tags as it sounds like you were inquiring about removing all tags from deleted posts)
