Searching for a suitable last name. Currents are belles, lockheart, and Lovecraft. Belles was the name I was originaly born with when I was adopted it became Allison, but my adopted father beat the shit out of me so I refuse to use it. My current mothers last name is Werner. But her family disowned me pretty much, so no there too.
I am a multi craft artist, music and writing at the top with painting close behind followed by cell shade drawing. I may or may not keep myfirst name of esme, (Which I learned long ago means 'to be loved'). But I may also change it to Lumiere.
Ideas? Mostly just looking for advice and wondering which of the listed names would be most notable.

Seriously for a second, a last name should represent more of where you are from, your ancestor, then just a catchy phrase.

LockBell, HeartLock, LoveLock, McLovin, LoveBelles, HeartCraft, LockBelles, FreshQueenOfBell-air, LoveNote, BellesHeart, CraftHeart, CraftLove, Lovanother, LockCraft, and LockBelles are my suggestions :)

Belles is french, so i assume my ancestors are from that area. however i havnt ever spoken to my birth parents so im not 100% sure.
Honestly its more of an artists last name than anything, just, Esme Allison (thats my current name) or Esme Werner...just doesnt hold a ring to it very well, Esme Belles is the logical choice for it, however they abandoned me at the age of 2....not seeing the love for that last name very much though it is a very beautiful name. Guess i could always leave belles and change my middle name lol

Edit: also its not for a character. its literally for me...my Real Life name, lol. At the moment it's Esme Allison, and either way i am ditching the Allison name because of its ties to an aggressive violent and abusive man. Belles is my un-offical last name right now and my artist name, but as an artist i dont like anythng short of perfection in things, or as close to it as i can get.

Esme Lockheart. see when i make a painting or music or write the name should be something people remember and stuff. i wanted a name that sounds like wind chimes coming off the tongue, something beautiful (not flashy btw) and something that looks beautiful when used as a signature.

If you get to pick, why not pick an artist's name.
Like Picasso or Monet.

When making up a name, it's usually best to try to make it sound not made up imo.

yeah makes sense, i guess belles should stay. it fits the bill x3

I've thought it would be interesting to try and change my name, but to completely remove my surname so that I only have my current first name as my full name. Of course, this is more just to see how people and computer systems would horribly break than for some practical reason or higher meaning.

Or, why limit yourself to Roman-Latin characters? How about jumping into Unicode and taking the surname of: ツ (KATAKANA LETTER TU) or 🌻 (SUNFLOWER) or ▣ (WHITE SQUARE CONTAINING BLACK SMALL SQUARE)
