Topic: Tagging Gynomorph Characters

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

Hi, I wanted to ask about some of the uploads I've made with porn of Iyo. Iyo is canonically a female rabbit character from a manga called Animal Yokocho, and some of the art I've been uploading features her with a cock! The artist tagged it as such and intended for her to be a girl with a cock, and wanted her to be tagged as such on here, so when uploading it here I made sure to use the gynomorph tags and whatever else was appropriate.

However, this is the second time someone has gone and changed all the tags on these posts to "male" instead of "gynomorph". I know TWYS, but surely this kind of overrides that? Is it really too hard to just leave the gynomorph tags?

I'm gonna change them back, but if someone can just clarify whether or not I should tag her as male or gynomorph, that would be helpful.

Edit: I re-read the TWYS guidelines and I guess I really have to leave the tags as "male" according to that. Oh well. Sorry for wasting your time.

Updated

Gynomorph is for characters that appear female but with a penis instead of a pussy. Considering pictures like this, it doesn't appear female. At best it's ambiguous_gender with a penis, which goes toward being tagged male. If the character is intended to be female but with a penis instead of a pussy, you can use gynomorph_(lore) for that. Or if they're intended to be female with a penis and a pussy, you can use herm_(lore).

On e621 posts are tagged based on what's in that post and nothing else (with minor exceptions). For more information please see the tag what you see article. In this case the fact that Iyo is canonically female is not relevant to tagging. In post #2342141 for example the character appears male and should be tagged as it.

A recent addition to e6 is lore tags. Lore tags are not subject to TWYS. Optionally you may apply the gynomorph_(lore) tag to a character that appears and is tagged male.

Okay, lore tags are definitely helpful, and I understand TWYS better. Thanks for showing me these!

Also as an addendum, if you aren't the artist, don't assume all pictures of Iyo (or any other canonically-female character) with a penis is intended to be gynomorph. Only use gynomorph_(lore) if the artist explicitly intended them to be female with a penis instead of a pussy, and they don't appear to have a female body for the gynomorph tag itself. A character that's normally female but appears otherwise-ambiguous and has a penis could just as well be crossgender male, so only use the gender/sex lore tags if you know that's what the artist intends.

Oh yes, I'm only talking about these 4 specific images I've uploaded, not all Iyo pics ever lol.
