In the Popular Anime and Manga Series My Hero Academia there are many characters who also have superhero names, which may make it harder to find the characters if you are not familiar with their real names, or vice-versa if the character is currently only tagged with their hero name. Moreover, people have for some reason been tagging a lot of the characters by name with their family name first, followed by their given name. While this is appropriate in Japanese Languagem syntax, and culture, this is not how it is supposed to work in western languages, which generally predominate this archive. On top of that, half of these chracters don't imply My_Hero_Academia. So in lieu of all this, I am requesting a mass tag aliasing and implicating for the characters compiled below who are currently on this sight so that all the options are available.

All of the above Tags should implicate My_Hero_Academia. Also, Boku_no_Hīrō_Akademia should be Aliased to My_Hero_Academia

There may be too many existing aliases to effectively do it with BUR.

But it's nice to at least see someone else pay attention to those. The current tags are really inconsistent, and it's been on my to-do list for nearly two years. Just haven't found time to do anything about it...

should probably be disambiguated, since it's also related to The Legend of Zelda, and is also the name of some characters and artists. Similarly, I'm not sure froppy, tsukuyomi, gevaudan, and other one-word name tags are distinct enough, and probably should be appended with the appropriate clarification.

I know nothing about My Hero Academia, but tsukuyomi should definitely be disambiguated, if it's used in the show as a different character. Tsukuyomi is a kami in Japanese mythology (specifically, a moon god, and has some relation to Amaterasu). Although it's not significant enough to get tagged, Tsukuyomi also appears as the name of a sword in Okami.

A quick Google search also returns results of an enemy in a Final Fantasy game, and supposedly an upcoming character in Smite.

While some of these don't seem terribly relevant to site, there's still multiple uses of the name, and there's not really anything stopping someone from drawing them as an alternate_species.

+1 to disambiguating Deku, though. The other two names I'm not familiar with.

I don't know how I really feel about this other than it feels really weird to hear myself read these character's names in <given name> <family name> order, but I guess the standard for character tags is to use localized names over original names so, usually, but I guess we use the original names of JJBA stands, JJBA might be considered kind of an edge case, I dunno.

Reason: Midnight is the R-Rated Hero from MHA, and Nemuri Kayama is her civilian name (Keeping separate to distinguish hero attire from non).
Mashirao Ojiro is the "Tail Hero", a human(oid, by our standards) with a thick prehensile tail. Not as popular but more fitting to our themes.
Hagakure Toru is the Invisible Girl. A bit more difficult to include, but she's still got plenty of tags.
Nezu is the "Animal with a supergenius quirk" principal of UA. ねづ was how they wrote it in Japanese, which transcribes directly to Nedzu, but was localized without the D.
Koji Koda is a mineral_fauna student.
Ochaco Uraraka is the crush-interest of the protagonist.
Asui Tsuyu will need some cleaning--while still a student, she's popular enough among furries to deserve a separation of civilian and hero (Froppy).
Kyoka Jiro is a humanoid with extendable plugs on her earlobes. Frankly, I'm surprised how popular she is on E621. If someone wants to argue separation of her civilian and hero identities, hers is Earphone Jack.
Momo Yaoyorozu is a human student. Surprisingly popular, hero identity Creati.
Pony Tsunotori is a minotaur student from class 1-B.
Itsuka Kendo is a human with enlargable hands.
Dark Shadow is a shadowy spirit that inhabits Fumikage Tokoyami's body; it's a bit ambiguous though and should get the suffix.
Gang Orca, AKA Kugo Sakamata, is an Orca pro hero. No hero costume to differentiate.
Tenya Ida, hero name Ingenium II, is a human with mechanical engines in his calfs.
Ryuko Tatsuma is a humanoid that can transform into a full fledged dragon.

hmm... it's a bit odd that we have these character's hero names aliased to their real identities, when that's something we generally avoid.

also, it seems like the name order of active tags is all over the place.

From what I understand, doesn't the show concentrate more on the high school aspect, not the hero business?

after the up twards the end of the first saga in the manga (season 3 in the anime), the hero aspect starts becoming more of the focus. but all of the core cast have both street names alongside their on-duty hero name.

on e6 we try to tag the super hero outfit and the person wearing it as seperate characters seperatly because how cosplay works in addition to how, in super hero media, super hero names tend to be inherited/used by multiple characters. so

if you were refering to my mention of "name order", I was just making a note about how for some characters, like asui_tsuyu have the <family>_<given> name order that Japan and other east asian cultures use, where as izuku_midoriya is in <given>_<family> order that we tend to use in the west.
