Topic: So i got a neutral record for what i think isn't that spammy or either not constructive

Posted under e621 Tools and Applications

So i commented this in a image

"desperation"
New blacklist

I said only that and for some reason i got a neutral record, i commented things that one could call "worse" than what i said on that one, and didn't get a neutral record
Thing is why?
Why now?
Why this comment?
For me i read the spamming or trolling, i didn't find what i said to be none of reasons in there
So please anyone enlight me on why i got this
Thank you before hand
Edit: i hope this is the right place for this thread on the forum
First time

I would imagine it’s because the mods want people to blacklist quietly and not state it. Usually it’s something along the lines of “oh look, another artist to blacklist” or similar (this isn’t a judgment against you, just a statement of why I think they gave you a neutral)

I got a neutral record for a very similar comment, it might even have been on the same post. I think they find it in poor form to comment when you are adding something to your blacklist. I will just accept this, and not make similar comments about adding images I find gross to my blacklist in the future. I think I heard that records go away over time on this site, but I'm not sure.

This isn't an airport, you don't need to announce when you're departing. If you want to blacklist something, just blacklist it.

I just got a neutral record for "not using the blacklist" by complaining about an artist and commenters treating one commenter like dirt for expressing a perfectly reasonable opinion.

Didn't know there was a blacklist for that!

...or that the whole "respect" business is a 1 way street.

Speaking of, is there even an appeal process? Or is this just a thing I have to put up with, now?

You can (politely) send a Dmail to the mod who gave you the record, and (politely) explain your position.

Well I guess now I have to figure out how to do that... gonna pray this is one of the few instances this site makes any sense...

Navigate to the user's profile by clicking on their name (Millcore in this case), then click on "Send message" on the top banner.

Neutral records decay after 6 months, if I remember right.

There's a saying :
A word and a stone once thrown away cannot be returned.

I think the real meaning of "Use-Your-Blacklist" is
"Do Not harass the artist(users) by saying negative things".

so Let's send hearts, not stones.
