Basically, what im asking for is simple, but i think would make such a nice change for everyone.
be like rule34.paheal, have it when you download an image the artists name is also in the image, that way you can just look at it and know who drew it if anyone asks or if you wanna see more by them. for unknown artists just put "uknown_artist".

i'm requesting this feature because i personally like to have the artists name as the file, rule34.paheal makes this very easy, but on here (the best website for furry porn, so i have to use it really) it just has random letters and numbers, so i have to manually name every single file as im downloading. now for one image alone its no big deal, but when im trying to download an entire page or characters porn it can take hours to do that.

so thats my feature request, i honestly can't see it being a hard thing to code in. or at least have a setting to allow for it.

Yes, very much like this too. As now, when I save a File, I also always put the Name of Artist before keep to together. Of any Trait one would use to searching, Artist would be important.

Also, could allow Users to select Filename Prefixes--so User A could want Character_imagestring, User B asks Artist_imagestring, User C asks Artist_Character_imagestring. I should think this Change would be very much loved by Users.

Make it optional. Those "random letters and numbers" are the MD5 hash, which makes it easy to find again later.

RE621 can do that. But it's naming rules applies only by pressing download button under post.

I just wish we had the option to download files with the post number and artist name the way danbooru does.

As opposed to clicking on the "Fullscreen" button, and saving from there? I could probably get the name to work there too.

The issue with file naming is that people will never, ever agree on what a good naming scheme is. It's the same thing with the page title on post pages – it now only lists the post ID because there was no consensus on what to show there. I made both of those things user-adjustable in RE621, but unfortunately, that does not seem to be a valid option for the site itself.
