Topic: Disabling NSFW ads and putting SFW ads instead?

Posted under Site Bug Reports & Feature Requests

I don't want to get in trouble or be judged by my family and/or other individuals. Why can i blacklist NSFW posts but not ads? If i'm at a public place i WILL be judged for those ads. All i'm asking is a solution for these NSFW ads that appear so i can finally browse SFW posts with SFW ads in public or with family watching

I don't understand how people can survive using the Internet without an adblocker.

Some people think that the mods would ban them for using an adblocker, when the current mods don't do that.
That, or some of them are using mobile.

My adblocker doesn't block e621 ads by default and they're not annoying or intrusive so I've left it that way, I don't mind giving e6 some money if I occasionally see an ad I'm interested in clicking. If there were YouTube-like ads before looking at each post that shit would be on my adblocker blacklist immediately.

Same. I turn off my adblocker on e621 and TVTropes.

Apparently newgrounds ads are also "safe" but damn are they intrusive on some pages.

yeah today i messed with adblock and decided to turn it off here. I manually whitelist the URL the ads come from for just e6, because i want my adblock to still protect me from other things on the site.

What do you use? UBlock Origin is my go-to; while it doesn't by default, I have most of the included filter lists in settings turned on, and those include e6

I don't think I'd even browse SFW furry websites in front of friends or family

I don't even browse any image/booru website when near my family, be it furry or not, I wouldn't even risk it.

I recommend using Brave, it is a browser based on the chromium source code so it feels no different than using chrome, it also lets to "whitelist" sites with a single button to allow ads. While we are at it, you should also try Newpipe, an alternative youtube client with none of the intrusive ads. Both of these are free and open source.

I don't. They keep doing fucky things with falsely blacklisting e621 as an advertising domain which disables javascript on the site regardless of user choices, and they have a history of abusing and exploiting people with their "rewards" system.

I haven't experienced anything like that, unless you were using an old version, since I installed mine about 3 months ago or so, I don't really care for the reward system for the most part since it wasn't one of my priorities, in the end, I just want an ad free browser that works similar to chrome.

I’ve used Brave mobile for quite a while now and it works fine. Also feels the best to use, in my opinion. Honestly, on mobile, it’s worth a shot.
