As far as I know, random it is the only sort order that always only generates one page. While you can just refresh, this can show posts you've already seen. I would fix this by generating a seed when a user searches with order:random and adding it as either a cookie or as a URL param. That seed could then be used that to generate subsequent pages, allowing for navigating through pages like every other order. Very unimportant, but I've had multiple times it would've been nice.

Funnily enough, the site already has that functionality.
Searching for order:random randseed:123456 will always return the same results. The only thing that's missing is pagination.

Awww drat, I forgot to fix that. Added it to my todo list.

Related to this, I just found that when using order:random there's no next/previous post button.

This is an unrelated matter. Seeking between posts in a next/previous action only works on unordered posts. It's a technical thing.
