Say you have a multi page comic, what is the correct post relationship here? I've seen both:
1st panel - 2nd panel (child of 1st) - 3rd panel (child of 1st) - 4th panel (child of 1st) and so on...
1st panel - 2nd panel (child of 1st) - 3rd panel (child of 2nd) - 4th panel (child of 3rd) and so on...

If there's more than 2 sequential pages of a comic, it should be a pool instead of setting them as parent/child. The parent/child relationship can be used for a two-page sequence, or for non-sequential alternatives.

It should absolutely be a pool - more convenient for us users and less work to get a series of pictures togehter for the uploader
