True. There's a number of anatomical differences between the two orders, but the most noticeable is the teeth. In fact, the number, arrangement, and shape of teeth is one of the chief ways biologists and paleontologists can tell the difference between different mammals. That's fortunate since most mammal fossils are just teeth or partial jaws.

In the case of lagomorphs and rodents, the biggest difference is the incisors. While both orders have constantly growing incisors that worn down over time and no canines, rodents have only two incisors in the top jaw and two in the lower jaw. On the other hand, lagomorphs have four incisors in the top jaw but only two in the lower jaw.

Another difference is the tail. Rodents tend to have long tails compared to the scuts of rabbits and hares. Pikas have no visible tails.
