Canonically, discworld trolls can also be made out of gems, which would go under gem_creature. Mr. Shine, him diamond!

In which case, it wouldn't actually be a Discworld troll, unless it were made out of petrified wood. Pratchett did have trees that talked (and built a religion that included good trees getting reincarnated as toilet paper) but none that walked. But we wouldn't tag them as troll_(discworld).
