Topic: Just found out my art was posted on this website

Posted under Art Talk

I just found out my art was posted on this website and... I'm glad.

Around just 2 weeks ago (Had to wait an additional week to make this topic) I searched my name out of the usual morbid curiosity and found out that someone posted my art of 2020's Halloween Google Doodle (You can find the post right right here) , 8 months ago. If anything, I was surprised, finding your art in some furry website with a +18 warning isn't the usual for anyone, but to however posted that...

Thank you.

This is one of the craziest things I've experienced on the internet so far and I'm glad it happened, really.

I made an account just so I could share this. Yes, this is in fact BirdTheBanana, mostly known as Banana Bird, the creator of that image. For anyone interested on my art, first of all, I don't use DeviantArt anymore, I lost interest and I couldn't get used to the interface. My Twitter is where I mostly post my art, so you can find it there (hopefully that doesn't annoy you). If someone else feels like reposting my art here (yeah, you have all permission as long as I'm credited, don't worry about it), you already know where to look, I won't do it myself lol.

Don't expect me to use this account much.

As a quick tip, you can use post #2468616 to make an easy, unobtrusive link: post #2468616.

Neat to see an artist reading "18+ warning" and seeing that as something different than "Entirely porn." So many users think this is a porn site, but it's just an archive which happens to include porn, not focus on it.

Unfortunately yes, the best Twitter lets you do is search by media which still gives you things like video clips, not "just art". Even if an account were made specifically for posting artwork without any other forms of media, you can't search for specific pieces of art unless the artist intentionally "tags" the image using the message field, which is easily forgotten and there's no means of editing such a thing in. #FridayNightFunkin #FNF #fanart is about all most people would even think about if they did, you wind up leaving a bit of a cluster if you start also throwing on #boyfriend #girlfriend #waluigi too.
