Topic: [APPROVED] Flaming Tail BUR

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The bulk update request #1144 is active.

create alias flame_tail (0) -> flaming_tail (7727)
create alias tail_fire (10) -> flaming_tail (7727)
create alias tail_flame (15) -> flaming_tail (7727)

Reason: It's the same thing. I guess? From what I saw, it is.

Stats:

Hopefully everything is right, this is my first BUR. (;-β €β €β €;

The way tail on fire is worded seems more like it is burning in a painful way? Like someone literally lit somebody's tail? Maybe I'm saying gibberish. (;-;

However if more people agrees with aliasing tail_on_fire to flaming_tail, I'll include it on the BUR. πŸ‘

I agree that that is the way it's worded, and before looking at the images I figured that's what it was, but the images seem to have the fire as just a part of the creature.

I could just manually change the posts tagged with it because there are so few, but I do worry that having a tag for an individual body part burning as if it caught fire rather than being part of the creature could set a precedent to have a tag for each body part being on fire in that way, though it's a rare subject in art that this worry is probably unreasonable

I agree, but I not that familiar with "burning tags". Is there even a burning_(bodypart) tag group? Like if it were for myself I'd also add the tail_on_fire tag on this BUR. I just don't want mess this up. (β €;β €-β €β €β €;

Huh, opinions on [bodypart]_on_fire? The two main tags are butt/tail, with butt on fire having been canonised with an implication to fire. Should we have an umbrella tag of body_on_fire, and have them imply that? Or can it stay this specific?

Better to have them imply burning

burning doesn't distinguish between objects and characters (but neither does fire). I wonder if burning should imply fire (you could say that's my burning question)

Nah, you can burn yourself on a hot pot, or other electrical devices which don’t require fire

should we differentiate between something being set on fire and something producing fire?
