Topic: Censored versions and BVATS

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

Simple question. If there's an uncensored version of a post already posted here, but I found through the artists pages a version with higher quality but censored should I upload and parent it or not? If it's okay what level of censoring would be acceptable: mosaic, blur, black bars?

Since it is technically a different post (uncensored vs censored), you can post the other version here and parent the child.
There is no limitation to the level/type of censoring a post can have, but you should only take note if the changes are minimal (like a tiny edit) or drastic (literally a blurred image for Patreon).
In that case, it will probably be best to maintain the current post and add in the alternate_version_at_source tag.

Thanks for your response! Don't worry I won't upload a full blur artwork here. It will be mostly artworks that are on Pixiv, which mostly of them just have those black bars that don't hide almost nothing.

But it will be more of a case by case situation, so I'll use of me judgment. The worst that can happen is a deletion. ;-;
