Topic: Tentacle Penis/Tentadick Confusion

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

In the fandoms I spend time in, I often see fantasy, abstract, or alien characters who have a specific style of penis that I usually call a tentadick, or a tentacle penis. The thing is, I never know how to tag these types of genitals.

They're typically a single tapering penis on the crotch, prehensile and wriggly. Sometimes they have shiny/gooey shading as well, and they usually are stored in a genital slit and/or lack external balls.
The reason I have issues with tagging these is because there seems to be multiple tags that could apply, but don't quite uniquely fit without also covering somewhat unrelated concepts.

  • Tapering penis seems to mostly cover more realistic mammalian penises that happen to taper to a point. It could be an implication of a potential tentadick tag, but I don't think it's the specific tag needed.

  • According to it's wiki, Penis tentacles actually refers to tentacles that are shaped like penises, not penises that are shaped like tentacles. Despite this, many occurrences of tentadicks seem to be tagged with it.

  • Crotch tentacles tends to refer to genitalia that takes the form of numerous tentacles, rather than just one.

  • Tentacles, similar to tapering penis, is too vague and seems more like an implication than the tag for this type of genitalia.
  • Cetacean penis doesn't really fit because those are usually specific to cetaceans and often have details that are rare on tentadicks, such as what appears to be a foreskin or some other kind of loose skin around the base.

With so many tags that could possibly apply, should we make a new tag for tentadicks or should we find a way to cram them under another one of these tags to avoid redundancy? They're often scattered across all of these tags, and tagging images with them is always a pain for me.
