Topic: Maybe posting on porn art sites isn't for me

Posted under General

It's been 2 years since I joined e621, and I still can't upload anything because the majority of my posts haven't been approved. To this day, I still have the upload limit of -4 (5 posts got approved while the other 14 got deleted). Now I'm debating on whether or not I should just stop posting on porn art sites. I tried Pixiv, bit my account got suspended (likely a permanent one) due to one of my posts there violating the rules on "illegal content" and I tried Rule 34 xxx, but I can't seem to log back in to my account for some reason (I don't know why). And before you say something like "what about (insert porn art site here)?", I either do have an account on there, but I'm rarely active/inactive (ex. Rule 34 Paheal, Baraag, Gelbooru, DeviantArt), I'm not interested in making an account (ex. Hentai Foundry, FurAffinity), or I deleted the account (ex. Newgrounds). Regardless of whether or not I post my porn art or somebody elses, it may not get a lot of views/likes. It's hard for me and my posts to get noticed, and it's so unfair how easy it is for some people and their posts to get noticed. Like, what the hell? What the fuck do I gotta post to get noticed in this bitch? Lopunny getting fucked in the ass?

The majority of the posts that were deleted were from paysites and/or the DNP list. Only the last couple were left in limbo.

Ah, yes. The posts that were left in limbo. The last post in particular was actually drawn by me. Sadly, it got a lot of downvotes and was eventually deleted.

What the hell were you uploading?

From what I checked on the deleted submissions (status:any is your best friend to do that) the most recent 8 were deleted due to being paysite content, 2 were from a DNP artist, 2 were irrelevant to the site (Human only), and the last 2 simply didn't get approved within the 30 day period.

Just look at my profile and you'll see what I've been uploading.

I know, it was a rhetorical question. It's just that your entire post doesn't spend a second on examining why that happened.
Uploading things just to get noticed is a weird concept to me too, especially if you upload extremely niche stuff like Smeshariki, I don't think it has any appeal to people who know about this show in the first place. Not to mention it shouldn't be treated as a competition anyway.

Don't post your own art here. This isn't your personal gallery, it's an art archive. If you want to share high quality artwork from others, then do so, but don't make assumptions about your own art--it's too easy to see your own art differently than others will.

First of all, e621 is not a porn site. It's an art archive, and we have all sorts of images here.
It just so happens that the furry community is incredibly horny, resulting in large amounts of yiff being produced.

Either way, the vast majority of your posts were deleted for something that was specifically your fault.
Human only, paysite content, avoid posting list – I am not sure why you are complaining about posts being deleted for rule violations.

I only see one post that was deleted due to not being approved within 30 days.
And yes, that sort of thing happens, unfortunately. The queue is kind of overwhelmed, and there are not that many people handling it.
If you wish to dispute that deletion, you should send a private message to NotMeNotYou, the lead administrator. Since the deletion was automatic, he is the one who handles the appeals. Normally, you would just talk to the staff member responsible for the deletion.

If you do message him, you might also want talk to him about getting your upload limit raised.

I think you're making too big a deal of this. People already mentioned e621, so I won't reiterate.

I don't have a rule 34 account, but it's generally not normal to have problems logging in. It's tough to really say without knowing the nature and extent of your problem, but have you tried getting help from an admin's email or something? Or perhaps doing standards things like clearing your cookies? It could help.

Pixiv - I don't know what "illegal content" is specifically, but it sounds like this could've been remedied by reading the uploading guidelines or a similar document first. If you're uploading NSFW art, genitals must be censored. And if you're uploading other people's art...well, that's not ok. Pixiv functions as an art gallery and not an archive. Treating it like e621 or gelbooru by posting other people's work is going to give you a bad time.

You've tried 3 websites and 2 of those problems were preventable, for the most part.

1. I tried contacting Rule 34 xxx about the log in problem, but it still hasn't been fixed. Like, what the hell, Rule 34 xxx?

2. As for Pixiv, despite the fact that all of my porn art there has uncensored genitals, that wasn't what my suspension reason meant by "illegal content" (Idk what they meant, though). What it meant was apparently, I was drawing sexually explicit There's plenty of Pixiv posts that contain uncensored genitals, so that means Pixiv is contradicting itself with the whole "no uncensored genitals allowed" rule.

Although e621 isn't necessarily a "porn site," it does contain pornographic material, which is ironic for an art archive. I will try talking to NotMeNotYou about raising up my upload limit since it's been 2 fucking years since I last uploaded anything here. I highly doubt if he will bring back any of my deleted posts, though.

Yours got reported or just noticed by the admins, others weren't. Pixiv is a Japanese site, and while the laws are starting to go away, they still need to keep censors there due to some regions still having the law.

Keep your hopes down, but ask his opinion anyways. If he says it's irrelevant or low quality, don't push it, but the original ask isn't any offense.
