Topic: [Feature] Make links inside spoilers unclickable until it's revealed on touchscreen devices.

Posted under Site Bug Reports & Feature Requests

Requested feature overview description.
Links inside spoilers will become unclickable until they're revealed, I don't think this would affect anything if someone would use a mouse or other similar motion tracking devices, this is mostly for touchscreen devices, like smartphones and tablets.

Why would it be useful?
Currently any link inside spoilers when revealed on touchscreen devices makes you click and open it, which could be a strategy for spammers to make people click on malicious links.

The above example works better on touchscreen devices and people unaware that there are links there. I literally fell for it by accident while making the draft of this request. *facepalm* It will only make you logout, but imagine that there's a link to malware there or an ip grab, someone on touchscreen devices is more likely to open it, because when you click to reveal it will also open the link.

What part(s) of the site page(s) are affected?
Hmm~ No idea? Anywhere you can leave a message with [spoiler] formatting, I'm sorry I really don't know. (; - ;

As a mobile user who's now logged himself out twice, I give this all the +1s. If it's possible, this should definitely occur... I thought there was a way to avoid that, but couldn't seem to do it.

With a quick test, I found that if you tap and hold on the spoiler, it will show the spoiler and not automatically follow the link (on Android). Granted, it will still pop up asking what you want to do with the link, or if it's not a link highlight some words and ask what you want to do with them, so this feature request is still a better option to have. But in the mean time if you're afraid of hitting a link on accident, that's a possible option.

Doing that showed a preview of the link (which is expected), but apparently letting that preview page load and then cancelling it booted me off of my account. I'm an iPhone user, if that helps in any regard.

I logged out again while trying your method. *Ultimate Facepalm* IMO it's a palliative solution as it's pretty easy to autopilot to click on spoilers to reveal it, but thanks. Still... I really wish this feature to be feasible. (; - ;
