Shivering generally gives connotations of being cold. Though it doesn't technically have to be, I'm not sure it's the best option for consolidation. There's also the trembling tag. All three of these have aliases associated with them, with shivering and trembling having an implication, too.

I think trembling would be a better alias target for this one.

Shuddering isn’t used for fear?

I think trembling is the most generic.

Shivering: Having tremors due to feeling cold.
Shuddering: Having tremors due to being horrified by something.
