Reason: both tags describe when one character facilitates sex between two or more other characters, the only difference is consent.

That agrees with the wiki definitions, but in practice, people usually only apply assisted_sex when the third party is visible (that is, trio or more), whereas a lot of forced_partners are cobondage situations, with just duo visible & some restraints.
