Topic: [REJECTED] Tag implication: lunatender -> cactuar

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

Are these from something, and should they be implying a copyright tag? Neither tag has a wiki describing what it is or what it’s from.

Cactuar are a species of bipedal cacti, from the Final Fantasy series. They weren't in the earlier ones, but later on they became popular (probably due to how silly they are)...

Cactuar probably should implicate final_fantasy if it doesn't already, or at least SquareEnix, they show up in some of the spin-offs that aren't in the mainline like Chocobo Racing and Chocobo's Dungeon. I'll check to see whether it does and edit the request if need be too add that too.

As for the wiki pages, I'll gladly do an entry for the new tags added to that image if need be, but anyone searching for them likely already knows. Not sure why cactuar didn't have one though, aside from relevance issues.

Not entirely sure a moon cactus should be considered the same as a land cactus.

The image that the tag was created on features loporrit, who are moon rabbits that are treated by implication chains as anthro rabbits. Just because it lives on the moon doesn't mean it isn't also a cactuar. Just a specific kind.

I assume you're talking about post #3075270, and that the "Lunatender" is the tall thing on the right, well, that looks nothing like a Cactuar. They're just tall, lanky aliens. Heck, even in all the screenshots out there, they never do the infamous Cactuar pose.

That's because they only hit that pose for about a frame before going into the pirouette the Lunatender Queen in the image is doing, and the game's community is...somewhat passionate about avoiding anything that even looks like a spoiler. The way they move and look is different, but they're clearly tall, slender, graceful teal cactuars if you spend any amount of time with them in their source game.

https://youtu.be/hI6WM-fdEPA?t=101 has a really good quality review of a minion/pet version you can get that makes it more obvious. The pet even does the pose on command if you /poke him.
